Although I've never travelled on 'The Spirit of Tasmania,' my home had a great view overlooking the Mersey River, allowing me to witness the ship's vibrant activities firsthand. Watching her straighten up to skilfully navigate the narrow river, then sounding the horn to announce her graceful departure to Melbourne was always a captivating experience.
During winter evenings, the ship looked like it was adorned in fairy lights bringing a lively vibrancy to Devonport and sparking my inspiration to paint it. The Spirit offers many people unforgettable experiences and meaningful travel, providing the option of taking your vehicle along.
