I had the wonderful opportunity to be commissioned to create a book cover for a Tasmanian novel, and it was truly an exciting and fulfilling experience!
The artwork I designed and painted showcases the magnificent Quamby Bluff, a stunning mountain situated in Northern Tasmania within the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area.
Quamby Bluff holds a rich cultural significance as it was originally inhabited by the Pallittorre Clan, members of the northern nation of Aboriginal Tasmanians. In their language, the mountain is referred to as "lartitickitheker."
Crafting this book cover allowed me to combine my artistic skills with the beauty and history of this remarkable location, creating a visual representation that captures the essence and allure of the story within the novel. It was an absolute privilege to contribute to the portrayal of this captivating Tasmanian tale.
