Inspired by Mt Roland, a beloved Tasmanian landmark near Devonport. It holds a special place in my heart.
Mt Roland has been a part of my life since I was a young child, and she continues to captivate me with every passing glance. We often stop along the country side roads surrounding Mt Roland to view her monolithic stature, it’s one of my favourite places to stop - adorned with ever-changing cloud-scapes, sunsets, rain, snow, fog or sunshine – we always see her in a new light. However, I chose to portray Mt Roland with her brilliant spring time colours and with the beautiful farmland that surrounds it.
